When you fall asleep eating a sucker after a beautiful afternoon at the park, how could it not be?

Magic Touch

Remember this from 2 years ago?

Erik still has it.  His magical sleepy touch.  And I still don’t know how he does it.

But not so much between the hours of 10 pm and 4 am.  That’s Owen’s party time.

Thank you, Mormor!

Samuel was very excited to get a package with a pillow case and special note just for him.  Sam was even more excited when we actually put a pillow in the case.  “Samuel’s piddow!  It’s bugs and raaaainbows on it!!”  And it really did give Samuel a good nap!  I put him down in this exact position, and that’s how he fell asleep 3 minutes later.  When does that ever happen?

Why, yes, he {did} finally have a good night’s sleep!

Thirteen hours.  Just 2 coughing fits during the night, and only cried for Mommy once.  A very {good} night’s sleep!  But what on earth gave it away?

Sickies

January 17th, 2007 Annelise Posted in Dad and Sam, sickies, sleep No Comments »

All 3 of us got sick Christmas Eve, but if that wasn’t enough, Samuel and I somehow got sick again over the weekend. I felt so awful Tuesday that Erik stayed home from work to take care of Samuel and let me rest. When I came downstairs a while later, this is how I found my two wonderful guys. Erik has this magic touch that makes Samuel go to sleep!

Sleepy Baby

December 5th, 2006 Annelise Posted in Mr. Sammers, sleep No Comments »

How many pictures of a sleeping baby can you take? LOTS! Especially when the little angel we had for the first two weeks has turned into Mr. Fussface who doesn’t ever want to sleep. Sleep time quickly becomes very precious time. Plus, we are still just fascinated with every little thing Samuel does. “Look Erik, his hands are under his chin while he sleeps” *click* “Aw he’s making a face while he sleeps” *click* “Doesn’t he look so cute while he sleeps?” *click click click* You get the picture?!
(By the way, can you tell which pictures were from his first week, and which are from this week? Samuel has changed so much!)
