The amazing and incredible Grandma B got us an early Christmas present while we were in California last month.  A membership to the LaHabra Children’s Museum.  It gets better.  That membership also gets us into hundreds of other museums throughout the whole country . . . including the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum up in Salt Lake.  We figured we would finally go for a visit, not even thinking that it was fall break for the schools.  So it was super packed, but the boys still had a blast.  And I love that we can keep going back as much as we want without worrying about how crazy expensive it is.  Thanks, Grandma B!

(PS.  Want to be my friend?  We can bring 5 more people with us, for free!)

I spy . . . two public safety officers you would surely want protecting your town, Samuel’s concentration face, and a pink lawnmower O toted around with him the entire time.

Root Beer Float

October 11th, 2010 Annelise Posted in California, Grandma B, Mr. Sammers 8 Comments »

One evening in California, I helped Linda put together the root beer floats for the kiddos.  I challenged her with the age old question, “Root beer first, or ice cream first?”  Linda said ice cream first.  I said root beer first.  Samuel had his own idea.  And he refused to eat it any other way.
