Somebody Doesn’t Hate Bathtime Any More!!

I tried to keep him modest with the help of Rubber Ducky.  Not so successful.  And those beautiful baby blues??  That's no trendy Photoshop effect; that's all pure, unedited Em!

You could tell me you don't want to eat him up, but I wouldn't believe you for a second. ;)

Brothers

August 21st, 2011 Annelise Posted in boys!, Brothers, dang cute 2 Comments »

Sam tells me regularly that he doesn't like Owen.  Owen can often be heard shouting, "No, Sam, I not like that!"  They fight, they don't share, they push each others' buttons and know just what it takes to get the other mad.  But they're brothers.  And Erik tells me that's all normal.  They also make each other laugh and giggle, they play so well together, they're best buddies, and you can see how much they adore each other.

I was so afraid adding another boy to the mix would change their relationship.  Would Sam be as close with him as he is with Owen?  Would Owen and he become best buddies while Sam became the odd man out?  I still wonder what's going to happen as they get older, but right now I couldn't be more pleased to see these three boys of mine . . . three sweet little brothers who love each other mucho.

Brushin’ Teefers

January 13th, 2011 Annelise Posted in dang cute, Little O-Man No Comments »

Owen loves to brush his teeth.  His favorite is when he gets to brush them in the downstairs bathroom.  I always put him next to the sink where I leave a tiny trickle of water running for him to dip his toothbrush under.  I don’t know why he likes it so much.  But I always think he looks so sweet just sitting there brushing and dipping.  The fireman footie jamas made it extra cute this morning.  In fact, sometimes I am blown away by the absolute cuteness of this kid.

November 6, 2010

He thinks he’s so cute waking up at 5:45 in the morning ready to “GO! OUT!” for the day

climbing “bup” on the shoe box

putting on his camo “HAT! HAT!”

riding around on his “guck”

waving at me “Hi Ma!!”

choosing to “TOW!” his cereal instead of eat it.

Well.  It’s a good thing I think he’s cute, too.

This very well may be the longest I’ve ever been away from my bloggity blog.  13 days.  Wowza.  I have a bajillion things to catch up on and post, including the homecoming of Elder Whitby and Sam’s 4th birthday!  Yikes.  I’ve got to get moving.  But in the meantime, enjoy the cuteness of these two little boys, who couldn’t possibly eat their apples and watch Curious George any other place than smushed up right next to each other on the huge sectional.

We might be ready for Halloween.  We might have been planning this for a good 10 months.  And we might already know what we’re doing next year.  And “we” might actually mean “I.”
