Here Kitty, Kitty!

By the time I got the camera, {the moment} was about over.  Sam had been in the window having a conversation and a good laugh with the cat for at least 5 minutes.  I can’t tell you how genuinely amusing it was to watch.

Oh, the Hilarity!

I’ve said it a thousand times, and once again, the pictures don’t do the moment any justice at all.

It didn’t Sam long to figure out that his labors were much more successful on the wood floor.

THIS is why Sam gets scratched by the cat . . .

You aren’t mistaken, the second picture IS of Sam going in for a bite.  Yes, my baby bites the cat.  Usually he prefers the ears, but he’s not picky.  And the tail is always fascinating, as seen in the third picture.  I guess I can’t blame it ALL on the nasty cat.  Dang.

It popped Sam’s new pool toy.

Then it tried to pop Sam.

Samuel meets Cat

April 8th, 2007 Annelise Posted in damn cat 1 Comment »

So almost everyone knows how I feel about our cat. Because I have such a disliking towards it, I am very protective of Samuel any time the cat even comes near him. Well, on Friday out little kitty had a rough day, to say the least (but I must note, Cat totally brought it upon itself!) I was outside and thought it would be ok to let the cat roam the backyard since I was right there. I sort of forgot about it by the time Samuel started getting fussy and needed a nap. That was about noon. By 7 that evening, there was still no sign of the cat. As much as I don’t like Cat, I was sick about the whole situation. That evening while I was outside with my mom I froze. “I just heard the cat!” But I couldn’t see it anywhere. Then I heard a bunch of commotion on the other side of our fence in the church parking lot. A bunch of kids had obviously found something very exciting. They had found Cat . . . waaaaaay up high stuck in a tree!! Now, of course my first inclination was to call the fire department, right?! But Erik came out, and about 20 minutes later Cat was back home again. I have some stellar video of the rescue; I have really got to figure out how to post it!

SO my whole point is, the cat was sitting very sedately on our sofa that evening, so when I saw Samuel investigating, I figured I would be nice and finally let the two be introduced. It was actually pretty cute!
