Either way you put it, we make quite the team!  I knew how I wanted my blog to look, and Erik knew how to make it happen.  Between my creative vision and his technical prowess, TA DA!!  It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun.  And my sweet hubbster didn’t really make me learn html, afterall.  Yay!  (I think he saw how ridiculously long it took me just to make the banner in Photoshop, and thought that was good enough for now!)  He did walk me through what he was doing last night as we spent almost 2 hours putting it all together, but a lot of it was beyond me.  (WordPress is a lot more complicated than Blogger!)  I can’t even tell you how impressed I was with, Erik.  He knows so much, and it comes so effortlessly to him.  Thanks again, muffin!

There is still some tweaking left, but it’s mostly stuff I can handle.  Anywho, enjoy!

Erik took some great lime pictures later, when Sam was still running around eating it.  With his new camera, Erik’s pictures put mine to shame.  They definitely capture our little buckaroo’s personality, and that I love!!

P.S. Erik has graciously taken on the task of helping me learn html.  Good luck to me!  In the meantime, things may keep looking different around here.

But just for a little bit.  I’m messing around with some stuff.  I don’t want you to accidently see my blog when it’s not at it’s fullest potential.

(So, really, you probably won’t even notice what is so messed up, but it’s driving me crazy.  I’ve been working on it since Sam went down at 3:30.  I know, I KNOW, I have some serious issues.)  

Hellooooo, do I not have the sweetest hubby cakes ever?!  I’ve been trying to find a template I liked, and have been having a hard time.  Last night Erik and I sifted through a bunch.  Suprisingly, we couldn’t agree!  Erik really thought I should have the one you are (kind of) looking at right now, but I liked a more "girly" one better.  Erik said he would work on it.  And look at the final result!  He did a BUNCH of changes last night as I slept cozily in my bed.  This morning, as I did my daily (hourly?) blog check, I was delighted to see what he had done for my blog.  Such a stud!  I’m totally making him blueberry muffins this morning.

Jerky, the know-it-all control-freak fixed the comments.  Just try and break it now!

I know, the comments aren’t working.  And there are a few other things that just aren’t working right, either.  The problems are only on my blog, not on the rest of the ones on briggsfam.com, making Erik think there is something wrong with the template I chose.  So, we are working on it!! 

But apparently, I am the POSTER CHILD for briggsfam.com.  Erik thinks if I can successfully make the switch from Blogger to BriggsFam, then I can be the advocate and teacher and all around "If the dumb blonde can do it, ANYONE can" example to the rest of the Briggs so they jump on board as well. 

So don’t give up on me yet.  I have tons of wonderful pictures just waiting to be blogged.  I promise, this is just as hard on me as it is on you! *Ha!* 

Ahh, so you noticed things are a little different here at briggsfam.blogspot.com!  All credit goes to my savvy hubby, Jerky.  He set up a family website a while ago, with the intentions of getting all the Briggs involved, with their own blogs, etc.  I had my easy, comfortable Blogger, so I was doing just fine.  Then I went in search of a new template, and found one that was only available in WordPress.  Instead of converting it for Blogger, Erik saw this as the perfect opportunity to get me using briggsfam.com!  So he spent all weekend setting everything up just the way I want it, including somehow magically taking you to annelise.briggsfam.com every time you go to briggsfam.blogspot.com.  Crazy stuff that I will never understand, but here it is!

I still need to mess around with it and figure out how I am going to make it work for me.  It’s not quite as dummy-proof as Blogger, but I’m willing to give it a shot!  My biggest fear was that people won’t leave me comments anymore, but Erik convinced me it’s actually easier for EVERYONE to leave comments now, and not just people with Blogger accounts.  It just takes an email and your name the first time (ignore the part that says" website"), then I approve your first comment, and after that, you should be able to comment without putting in any info, any time you like.  (P.S. The ONLY people that have any sort of access to your info are Erik and me.  That’s IT!)
