I love comparing pictures of my two boys.  On the left is Samuel at 2 months 9 days.  Owen on the right at 2 months 11 days.  I can definitely see that they are brothers, but I think they look very different.  Besides the glaring lack of Owen’s hair, I also see big differences in his eyes, his mouth, and his chin.  And Samuel has adorabley huge dimples that Owen does not.  But, their bodies are like exactly the same.  Maybe my NEXT baby will be a chunker.  Or maybe I’m doomed to have little babies that make me fret and worry about each fraction of an ounce they do (or do not) eat.  But one thing is for sure, chunky or not, I do make pretty dang cute babies.  {I’d say “Just kidding” but really I’m not.  Although I AM humble enough to admit that I am completely and entirely partial.  Hehe.}

Nope, really, I’m serious.  Believe it or not, this is definitely NOT an April Fools joke!  Sure enough, number 2 arrived significantly earlier than we expected.  The good news, everything went surprising well.  We are all happy and healthy and doing great.  But boy was I surprised when it all just started to happen so fast!  Completely different from the first time.  Because we weren’t expecting him so soon, there are several things that we’ll need to get in order . . . like a name!  But I’m sure we will find something that fits him perfectly soon enough.  It’s funny, though, I’m still not quite used to the whole idea, and when I catch glimpses of him from the corner of my eye I find myself doing a double take.  But what can I say, I love my new baby.  How could I NOT?!  I’ll take some more pictures later.  Here are just two of his darling little rear while he’s snuggled up nice and cozy in the garage.

This evening Samuel and I were sitting on the sofa talking about Mommy’s baby.  I asked him, “Sam, are you going to have a brother or a sister?”  Erik, intrigued, paused his game playing.  “Now this predicition is the one I’ll believe.”  So I asked Sam again, “Is this a baby brother or a baby sister?” 

Samuel must have felt the weight of his response.  He gave it some serious thought before answering, “Grandma  Christian!!”

I was a bit confused, too.  We’ll let you know Tuesday if the OB has a better answer.

Not my baby.  Pishaw!  A {friend’s} baby . . . and her baby shower this Saturday.  I could not wait to post this!  Huh-LLO!!  Look how stinkin’ cute this diaper cake is!!!  So many thanks to Triana for her help.  Two creative heads are definitely better than one.

And here is the quilt I made.  Well, the top anyway.  My mom is going to quilt it for me, and then I am going to finish up the binding.  Anyone else want to let me throw them a baby shower?  Cause I LOVE this stuff!
